Tile Exercise

This is another exercise inspired from the ballpoint pen book I am working through. The exercise is to draw tiles and fill them in with patchwork designs. I filled the page with empty squares and filled some with specific designs and shapes while others are simple shading practices. The third tile from the top in the right-most column surprised me: It was originally going to be some sort of repeating, geometric design which began with the “x” in the center and the triangle in the upper-left. After drawing these two, it began to look like a cross necklace, so the tile became the image of a gospel choir singer.
